I contributed a presentation at InterPore 2026 in Nantes, France, as part of the IMPRES group. I also joined the conference career-development event as a panel member, sharing my experience and perspectives on academic career development and research.

As a Research Collaborator on the FSEI–ISPF (ODA)–AFRICA FSE project, I organised the Manchester visit programme and research talks for delegates from Makerere University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Professor Vahid Niasar invited the delegates and led the initial communication.

As a Research Collaborator on the FSEI–ISPF (ODA)–AFRICA FSE project, I visited the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, and established new research links in energy transition and subsurface energy systems. The visit included meetings, laboratory tours, and engagement with postgraduate and final-year students.

I was appointed Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at The University of Manchester. Alongside this appointment, I joined the leadership of the Integrated Multiscale Porous Media Research Group (IMPRES) as Co-Lead.

I was appointed Lead Guest Editor for a Special Issue titled “Subsurface CO₂ Sequestration: Advances, Challenges, and Pathways to Net Zero” in Frontiers in Earth Science – Georeservoirs. Click here for more details.

As Co-Investigator, I was part of a successful proposal awarded synchrotron beamtime at the I12-JEEP beamline of Diamond Light Source. The project uses 4D micro-CT imaging to visualise salt precipitation and characterise permeability impairment during CO₂ injection into porous reservoir rocks.

I received the Research Staff Excellence Award for “Outstanding Contribution to the Research Staff Environment” at The University of Manchester, recognising my support to PGRs and PDRAs, community building, and leadership activities.

I was promoted to Research Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Manchester, following my contributions to porous media research, supervision, and research leadership.

I chaired the 2025 Annual Postgraduate Research Conference in the Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Manchester.

I served as a Jury Member for the Postgraduate Research Showcase 2025 at The University of Manchester.

I delivered invited talks at the Shell Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam, TU Delft, and Tabriz University of Technology.

I co-organised the Deep Learning with PyTorch Workshop and co-hosted the Early Career Fellowship Workshop at The University of Manchester.

As Principal Investigator, I received £3,800 from the School of Engineering Research Pump Priming Fund to develop a dual-field microfluidic setup for visualising dispersion and mixing in porous media.

I organised and chaired the 7th UK InterPore Chapter Meeting hosted at The University of Manchester.

I was a Co-Investigator on a £29,100 UKCCSRC-funded project investigating capillary suction induced by brine evaporation and salt precipitation during CO₂ injection in saline aquifers.

I organised a workshop on Machine Learning and Data Visualisation for researchers in the School of Engineering at Manchester.

I delivered an invited talk for the Iranian Association of Chemical Engineering (IAChE) in Tehran, Iran.

I served as a Jury Member for the PGR Showcase 2023 at The University of Manchester.

I served as a Committee Member for the Doctoral Research Award (DRA) in the UK, evaluating early-career research outputs from multiple institutions.

I co-organised a specialised workshop on Turbulent Mixing in Porous Media at The University of Warwick, bringing together academics working on advanced LBM simulations and experimental characterisation.
